Olivia Cunning delivers the perfect blend of steamy sex, heartwarming romance, and a wicked sense of humor in this menage story featuring the hottest guy in the Sinners band.

But when Trey encounters Reagan’s sexy bisexual roommate, Ethan Conner, he can no longer deny who he is or what he wants. Reagan heartily agrees to a solution that opens up a hot new world of sexual experience–and love–with the two men she wants the most

Review:

Man do I love this series. It is one of my favorite series in existence! It blends two of my favorite loves, reading and rock n roll! I have always had a weakness for musician’s in real life, but they make such awful boyfriends I had to long ago swear off of them. So with the Sinners I can indulge in my musicians without actually dating one. LOL

So I am going to get my two negatives of this book/series out of the way so I can gush the rest of the review. First thing… What in the world was the publisher thinking when they released these books out of order?! This is technically the fifth book and final book of the series but it is being released third. There are little tidbits on this book that you would not have been small spoilers if the books had been released in order. Now granted the tidbits aren’t that big but spoilers they still are especially when it comes to Eric’s lady love. We’ve been waiting over a year for the Sinners I think that we could have managed a few more months so that we could have gotten them as they were supposed to have been read. So even though I LOVED this book I do encourage readers to wait to read the books in order if at all possible. I know waiting will really suck, but Jace’s book comes out approximately 3 months after this book (February). It would be rough but if you can manage it, I recommend it.

Second, now I liked Ethan, I really did, he’s hot sexy and an alpha male. Totally smexy! I loved the interaction between him and Reagan, but when it came to his interaction and reaction to Trey it felt rushed. It was like from lust to love in 0.2 seconds. Trey and Ethan had no history like Ethan and Reagan did, so the love comes too quickly. We meet Ethan fairly early in the book where he has basically one interaction with Trey and it’s quick. Then we don’t have any Trey and Ethan interaction again until over 50% of the way through the book. I wish they had more time together interacting, I kept thinking when is Ethan going to pop up again??

So that being said, I still LOVED the book! Olivia Cunning is one of the best in my lowly opinion of weaving a story around all of the smexy passionate love scenes. A lot of Erotica is a lot of sex with a weak plot and/or little character development. This is not the case with this book. The plot is strong, the emotional connection is there and the characters are well developed. We know who they are as characters. Trey we came to love early in the series, I think he quickly captured everyone’s hearts. His love for fellow band mate Brain is well known and heartbreaking. There is little worse than loving someone with everything you are but them not returning the feeling. You feel for Trey, you really do. He had loved Brain for over 10 years and always hoped that Brain would return the feelings but Trey can finally no longer pretend. This ongoing plot line comes to a head in this book. Trey is still struggling with his feeling for Brain when he meets Reagan. I think Olivia Cunning picking a woman for Trey to fall for first was a smart decision. I don’t think it would have been nearly as believable if it had been a male who Trey had fallen for with lingering feelings for Brian. With the exception of Brain, Trey has never had any sort of emotional connection to any of his lovers. He never even wanted any sort of emotional connection with a lover until Reagan. She demands his attention, respect and demands more from him then any past lover. He’s putty in her hands! Even though he his putty in her very talented hands he can’t get everything he needs from her. He tries and struggles with his need for men, he cares enough about Reagan that he really does try. You can feel how badly he wants her and how badly he wishes he could turn that part of himself off. But, alas it is not to be, especially when Reagans roommate is so incredibly sexy, bi-sexual and hitting on Trey at every opportunity.

Music is Reagan’s life and when she enters the Exodus End competition she didn’t know it was going to change her whole life. Reagan is chosen to be the new rhythm guitarist for Exodus End, it is there that she meets Trey. They immediately find an easy banter between them. Reagan gives Trey as much shit as he gives her and it becomes a very easy going and quick connection. Reagan ended up being a great heroine for Trey; she is actually a lot like him only in female form. Olivia Cunning does not shy away from letting Reagan feel, Reagan actually has a bit of emotional turmoil, mostly feelings of not being good enough as a guitarist for Exodus End. She goes from being a nobody with no band to being a guitarist in one of the most well-known bands in the world. It’s a lot and she doesn’t always take it in stride which I felt to be realistic and gave Reagan more depth as a character. Despite, her close connection to Trey, it is Ethan she finds herself turning to a lot for emotional support. As her ex-boyfriend and roommate she is used to leaning on him for emotional support and he has always provided it. There is a bit of tension with Trey, because she does still turn to Ethan and Trey wants to be that emotional support. Reagan does want to turn to Trey but the feelings are new and Ethan has always been there for her, even after she caught him in the shower with someone else, a male at that. Convinced Ethan is gay she closes her romantic love for him off, but when she comes up with her plan for Ethan and Trey she never expected those feelings to is still be alive. Turning to a solution that she never in a million years thought she would be ok with, she at first has mixed emotions but those quickly change, when two gorgeous men are bent on seduction.

Since his betrayal of Reagan, Ethan has been doing whatever he could to still remain in her life. He knows how bad he messed up but having a Reagan as a friend is better than having no Reagan. He has been scaring off all of her potential boyfriends to keep her to himself. When she brings home Trey Mills, he is floored. Never has he felt instant lust for a male before. Ethan is torn. On one hand he wants to scare Trey off from Reagan, because she is his! On the other, Ethan wants a taste of Trey. Ethan recognizes Trey for what he is a bi-sexual male, just like Ethan is. The temptation of Trey is almost more than Ethan can bare. As previously mentioned, Ethan isn’t in this book nearly as much as Reagan and Trey but he is still a force of presence. He is free with his emotions. We always know exactly how Ethan is feeling, no holding back. His fiercely protective and has a big heart. He loves quick and he loves big. His love for Reagan is never a questions but when he comes to care for Trey so quickly it is a force to contend with. Trey never had a chance against Ethan. Ethan gives Trey all that he needs from a male even without Trey really realizing what Ethan is giving him. Ethan demands and he takes and eventually gets what he wants. Reagan and Trey as his!

I recommend this series to every romance and erotica lover! It may be considered erotica but this series at the heart of it is for the romanticals! There is plenty of romance to love to be had, but Olivia Cunning never skimps on a love scene, there is no holding back. Ms. Cunning can sure write a damn book! And she is definitely on my auto-buy list!

ARC Review: Lydia Dare – Wolfishly Yours

Westfield Wolves Series:

Book 6:

Wolfishly Yours: Grayson Hadley and Miss Liviana Mayeux

 Wolfishly Yours (Westfield Wolves, #6)

Order on Amazon: Lydia Dare – Wolfishly Yours (Westfield Wolves)

Release Date: November 1st, 2012

Summary:

Accustomed to running wild with her Lycan brothers in the swamps of Louisiana, Miss Liviana Mayeux is shipped off to London where Lady Hadley offers to sponsor and assist her. Before she knows it, Vivi finds herself in the middle of a pack of English wolves who are all vying for her attention. But Lady Hadley’s handsome son Grayson is determined to keep her out of trouble. If only he knew how…

Review:

So I love Lydia Dare books, they are fun light reads that always warm your heart. The paranormal aspect in this book is so light that even those who do not enjoy paranormal would not be fazed. I think lovers of paranormal as well as historical romance will love this books and series.

I adore the Hadley brothers especially the twins! They are just so delightfully roguish and their intentions are good but they always seem to be off when it comes to actually enacting their good intensions.  Poor Gray, he keeps trying to do right by Livi but every time he tries to do something good it backfires so horribly onto Livi. Because of Gray’s missteps she is nearly RUINED in the eyes of the Ton. From the minute Gray laid eyes on Livi he was entranced by her, not just by her beauty but by her brash and straight forward manner. However, he knew that she in in England maybe not by choice but her fate is sealed, to find a rich, respected member of the Ton. Gray knows he is neither and that he should stay far far from this ravishing beauty but against his will he keeps gravitating towards her and keeps on fumbling.  Gray is such a sweetheart and watching him just epically fail is quite entertaining. Even though he just fails at every turn you just can’t help but love him anyway, he has a certain charm about him that just sucks you in. Maybe it’s his easy smile or even as he’s knocked down he perseveres anyway. He is nothing if not determined. What I love the most about him is he adores Livi just the way she is, he has no desire to change her and thinks she’s the perfect “Lady” just as she is. But even if he does manage to win his lady, what would he do with her?

I loved Liviana! She is brash, speaks her mind and knows what she wants! And what she wants is to go home! Livi was sent to England by way of Louisiana by her father to be made into a lady. She wants nothing to do with being a “lady”. She liked her life running wild in the bayou’s with her Lycan brothers. So far the only good thing she has found about England is Gray. She is drawn to Gray more than any other person but he’s not “respectable” and definitely not a good match! Every move that Livi makes ends up being a disaster and affects her respectability on the marriage mart. She is on the very edge of being ruined and sent to a convent. Just when she has decided to throw everything behind being a lady she is yet again fuel for the gossip fire. Livi certainly handles impending disgrace fairly well. Lol If it hadn’t been the threat of a convent she probably wouldn’t have cared a whit what society thought of her. She can definitely hold her own again the disrespectable Hadley brothers; she can even match them disgrace to disgrace. Livi is fun and sassy and doesn’t take anything from any of the rambunctious males in her life. I love Livi and Grey together; they certainly make waves through England’s Ton.

Deborah Gafford- You’re in Good Hands with Al Tate

You're in Good Hands with Al Tate

Rating: 5 Stars

A laugh out loud hilarious love story. I had people staring at me because I couldn’t stop laughing when reading this book. In this romantic comedy Deborah brings you passion, sexiness, and lots of humor. This book was very refreshing. I haven’t read something this light in a long time and I really needed and enjoyed it. I thought this book was extremely well written. This story flowed perfectly.
Deborah’s descriptions and details will take you inside the story with these special characters. I love how Deborah always let us know what the characters thoughts were. This is why I love reading books instead of watching movies.
There were some scenes and this book that were so funny my ribs were hurting because I was laughing so much. Deborah’s characters are so realistic.

Al Tate, is a stockbroker. He is not overly confidant in himself and I found that endearing. He is physically fit and very handsome. He is tired of the city life. He is looking forward to leaving it all behind and moving to the country. He wants to find someone he can share that with.
One day he is putting together a exercise machine outside when he was introduced to his beautiful new neighbor. He felt a connection to her right away. That day started an hilarious roller coaster ride.
I really loved how Al constantly had Susan on his mind. The things he wanted to do for her and with her was so very romantic. He is very dreamy sighh

Susan, a beautiful, small town gal moves out to the big city. She writes for a exotic magazine. She wants a life of glamor. She moves into her new apartment. She is trying to finish her writing because she is on a deadline to pass it into her boss but she can’t manage to stay concentrated on her work. Her kitchen sink is dripping and there is banging outside. She goes to check out the banging outside and that is when she noticed a hunk of a man with his shirt off. Sweat glistening off his sun kissed body stops her dead in her tracks. That is what started it all. Susan’s thoughts of Al were so funny.

Both of these main characters were oh so lovable. I truly enjoyed how Deborah always let us know what each of the characters thoughts were. I never laughed and sighed so much while reading a book. This one is a must read. You will not be disappointed.

The vivid details form a exciting scenes in my mind making me feel as if I was in the story the whole time.

This story was extremely well written. This characters in this book had so much passion. I had lots of hilarious laughs while reading this. This pace flowed perfectly.

Brett, a daring, confident, handsome man. He is somewhat of a rogue. He is known as a ladies man. He is asked by his aunt who he adores to accompany her god daughter around town. His aunt wants him to show the ton of Chelsea. He is not happy about this but he can’t say no to his aunt. Little by little, as the days go by he becomes enchanted with Chelsea. He realized very quickly that Chelsea isn’t like any of the women he has ever known. He is drawn to her.

Chelsea, a spirited, smart, outgoing, outspoken, beautiful young lady who is left at school by her cruel step mother. She decides to take matters into her own hands and leave school with the help of her best friend. They make their way to the person who her parents made her trustee. Finally she is where she belongs. Her godmother introduces Chelsea to her handsome nephew.

I love Claudy’s characters. They are very lovable and unforgettable. The secondary characters in this book stood out no matter how small of a part they played in the story. I found this to be a very quick and easy read. You won’t want to stop reading. I adored this book from the very first page to the very last page. You will not be disappointed.

Kerrigan Byrne- UNWANTED (Highland Historical #3 Holiday Novella)

Rating: 5 Stars

I fell in love with Kerrigan’s writing while reading her first novella Unspoken. I knew right away that I found a new favorite author.

Kerrigan’s writing is amazing. This new novella is magical and enchanting. Being a holiday story made it even more special.
Like the quote says on the cover this story really is captivating and phenomenal.

Her characters are always so powerful and intriguing. She really writes unforgettable characters that you will always remember . They will forever still with me.

This story had so much passion and emotion. I felt as if I was in the story. Her details are vivid and the love scenes were smoking HOT!

Finn, a brawny handsome beserker on a mission ends up having to take a unexpected side trip that will forever change his life.

Rhona, a beautiful widow who has been through so much. She has nothing and is alone until she hears a knock at her door. She never would of expected who waited on the other side.

Kerrigan’s stories are unique and like nothing I have ever come across before.

This story had a great twist to it. I was so glad we got to read more about the characters in her first 2 novellas, it made the story even better.

This story was very well written. A total page turner you wont want to put down. It’s a must read! You will NOT be disappointed.

Review: Sable Hunter – Burning Love

Cajun Spice Series:

Book 1:

Burning Love: Harley Montoya/Nada and Beau

Burning Love

Purchase this book on Amazon: Sable Hunter – Burning Love (Cajun Spice)

Summary:

From Goodreads.com

Beau’s passion burns hot for Harley Montoya. When he discovers that the woman who has enflamed his libido is the girl he fell in love with so long ago in a runaway shelter, he is overcome with joy. But Harley – or Nada as he knew her – has been burned by tragedy. They both live lives full of adventure. He builds custom weaponry and owns a reptile preserve, and she is an EOD expert – Harley defuses bombs for a living. But nothing is more explosive than the love they share.

Beau is determined to show Harley that he is worthy of her trust and that he is willing to protect her from anything that would cause her harm. But Harley has a mad-man on her trail and she can’t walk away from her responsibilities. Bombs, alligators, haunted plantations and Louisiana lore spice up their life, and danger and ghosts from their past threatens to tear them apart – but nothing can put out the white-hot flames of their Burning Love.

Review:

So I have never read Sable Hunter before and grabbed this book while it was free on Amazon from a friends recommendation.  I am so happy that I listened to Dawn (My Let’s Get Romantical partner in crime) and picked up this book. The blurb was intriguing enough that I started reading it immediately and I was instantly ensnared into this story.

Harley is an emotionally damaged woman; her early life has been anything but pleasant. She has exactly one good memory of her early days and that is Beau, the boy she met in the group home.  He protected her and made her feel safe for the first and last time in her life. Harley has managed to carve out a pretty decent if not lonely existence for herself; she is the number one bomb expert in the US and possibly the world. She can demand astronomical prices for her skills as the premier bomb tech.  She has a touch of Psychometry that aids her when dismantling a bomb.

When Harley reconnects with Beau randomly when she walks into his shop she is shocked, her childhood hero is right in front of her and hitting on her.  She feels complex emotions when she sees Bea for the first time in years, the last emotion she expected to feel was lust.  She hasn’t felt lust in… well ever. It confuses and frightens her but it’s her Beau and that makes it ok.  After two traumatic events and several failed attempts at dating Harley is terrified of scaring Beau off, but she knows he is not something she can let go of.

Ah… Beau… one of my favorite males ever! Besides being a sexy a$$ Cajun (my new obsession), the way he handles Harley’s trauma is so endearing. I think I fell for him first when he reacted to Harleys confession and then again when he demanded going to counseling with her. What man volunteers for counseling? Only real men who care about their woman, that’s who! Lol His desire to get it right makes your heart swell. Beau is definitely a man’s man, he wrestles with gators for heaven sake and owns a gun shop, does it get any more manly? He has the typical protective instincts of a true alpha male, but he doesn’t smother.  He knows Harley has an extremely dangerous job, but he doesn’t get in the way. He doesn’t demand that she give it up, but he does state a preference in a switch to consulting work. LOL.

Overall, I think that the author did a fantastic job tackling a difficult subject. She created believable lovable characters. She incorporates a Cajun feel, along with touches of paranormal with the Psychometry and Harley’s haunted house. Even the ghosts add to the story. I devoured this book in one setting and will be looking out for other titles by this author. I give it an A+
